The reason a Florida Lifts & Docks build still looks new at year fifteen is that we spec it like we own it — because in nine of every ten neighborhoods we work in, we already do.

Anatomy of a Premium Dock

Six things every dock should have.

Hover or tap any number — these are the details that separate a 5-year build from a 30-year one.

Each marker reveals the spec choice that drives long-term durability — from buried piling depth and stainless hardware grade, to composite vs. treated wood and underwater LED placement.

How a Boat Lift Works

Press the button. Watch it rise.

A boat lift is four marine-grade cables and a cradle of bunks lifting your hull clean out of the water at the end of every trip. No more bottom paint maintenance, no more barnacles, no more salt-marinated metals. Done right, it disappears into your dock and lasts decades.

Before · After

From hurricane debris to first cocktail at sunset.

Drag the handle. The transformation isn't paint and polish — it's a complete demolition, new pilings, new framing, new composite decking, new lift, and new lighting.

Built for the Storm

When the surge comes, only one kind survives.

Every dock built in SW Florida lives inside a hurricane corridor. The difference between a dock that's still there on Tuesday morning and one that's halfway up your neighbor's lawn is in the spec. Press Storm to see it.

Calm day — boat secure on a premium lift Storm-ready — boat raised and strapped before the surge
8–12 ft wrapped pilings
316 stainless throughout
Raised & strapped above the surge

Cheap build · what fails

  • Galvanized hardware corrodes in 18–24 months — fasteners shear before the storm even hits
  • Pilings driven 4–6 ft instead of 8–12 ft — lateral surge force lifts them out
  • Treated wood decking floats away in standing water — debris hazard for everyone downstream
  • No cross-bracing on lift posts — lift rips off and takes the boat with it

Premium build · what survives

  • 316 stainless throughout — no galvanic failure, no surprise breaks
  • Pilings 8–12 ft into bottom, wrapped to 18″ below waterline against borers + surge
  • Capped composite decking is dimensionally stable + heavier than wood, stays attached
  • Lift framing cross-braced + bolted to walers — lift rides the surge intact
  • Engineered freeboard above 100-yr surge level — water passes under, not through
From Concept to Completion

Five steps. One contractor.

No subbed-out crews, no surprise change-orders, no "I'll have my guy call you." Same name on the rendering as the truck in the driveway.

What clients say

Quiet referrals. The best kind.

★★★★★
"Best contractor we've worked with in Naples. Showed up when they said they would, did exactly what was drawn, and the dock looks better in person than the rendering."

★★★★★
"Replaced a 20-year-old dock destroyed by Ian. Their crew permitted it, built it, and handled the lift install — all the same outfit. No finger-pointing."

"We had three other quotes. Florida Lifts & Docks wasn't the cheapest, but they were the only one who walked the canal at low tide and explained why."
